    Hello,
So I blogged just a few days ago, and all of a sudden, I went to log onto my wordpress account and it shows this when I go to the log in site…

    Internal Server Error
The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request.

Please contact the server administrator, [email protected] and inform them of the time the error occurred, and anything you might have done that may have caused the error.

More information about this error may be available in the server error log.

Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

    ——————————————————————————–

    Apache/2.2.15 (Unix) mod_ssl/2.2.15 OpenSSL/0.9.8e-fips-rhel5 mod_auth_passthrough/2.1 mod_bwlimited/1.4 FrontPage/5.0.2.2635 Server at desired-sin.net Port 80

I do not know what happened, I had not installed any plugins after I had blogged that day… and my site is still up and running.

    My site is: https://desired-sin.net

Can anyone help me with this??
    Thank you!

    Resetting the plugins in the database is a bit more complicated. In the table wp_options, under the option_name column (field) find the active_plugins row and change the option_value field to: a:0:{}

But, that probably won’t do anything considering that the test blog won’t even work. I bet something screwy is going on with the server. Contact you hosting provider an describe the problem, mention that a freshly installed blog exhibits the same problem, and feel free to link to this thread.

What he said. That would also be my last stitch effort.

    MacManX in regards to:

I had done that before. >=(

    And funny story…
I had a host before, and she .. disappeared from life. And ever since she disappeared which was probably a year and a half ago, my site has been running ever since. So I am not sure.. WHO to contact for this server issue o.o.

Are you still paying this “disappeared from life” host? It sounds like it’s time for a new hosting provider.

No I am not lol thank goodness right??
And I just did an inquiry from my cpanel about who is hosting me and check this out!

    Who is my server host??
    domain: desired-sin.net
    owner: root
    realname: Nayana
    server: spooky.letsserveit.net
    subject: Server Host
    uri: /frontend/x3/contact/contactinfo.html
    useragent: Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 7.0; Windows NT 6.0; WOW64; Trident/4.0; SLCC1; .NET CLR 2.0.50727; Media Center PC 5.0; .NET CLR 3.5.21022; .NET CLR 3.5.30729; .NET CLR 3.0.30729; OfficeLiveConnector.1.5; OfficeLivePatch.1.3; .NET4.0C)

Heh, even letsserveit.net is kicking out internal server errors. I’m going to say at this point that this is definitely a server issue. Unfortunately, without any way to contact your host, you’re just plain out of luck.

Since the current server doesn’t work, it may be time to leave. Backup your database and files and prepare to move to a new hosting provider.

If you’re looking for recommendations I strongly recommend A Small Orange as they have been my host for over five years. They may cost a bit more than the competition, but their overall reliability and customer service is second to none. They have a great plan that’s only $25/year (and you can use the coupons aso5 ($5 off) or aso15 ($15 off)). The WordPress team also keeps their own list of recommended hosting providers.

    Thank you so much! =)
I really appreciate your help. It is sad but you are right it is time to move on. I am working on it now but I will definately look at what you’ve suggested. Thank you once again – Loushou as well !

So I just want to inform everyone it was not a problem with WordPress but a problem with my actual server indeed. They have e-mailed and stated:

We had a slight issue with the PHP and Apache configuration on our server.
which resulted in Error 500 pages

But – again I’d like to thank you for the help and technical support on the issue.

You’re welcome! I’m glad they were finally able to fix it.
