    Hi all

Just yesterday (fri nov 23rd 2012) I started getting an INTERNAL SERVER ERROR (not to be mixed up with the 500 server error) every time I tried to upload a picture.
I called my host server at godaddy and they helped me trouble shoot by disabling each plugin one by one then it seemed to work again.
But today (sat nov 24th 2012) I am encountering the same error message! After contacting godaddy they said the problem is with wordpress or my theme.
I have tried logging in and out of my site, tried a different browser, tried both versions of the uploader, disabling and enabling all plugins one by one and nothing changes! I have contacted my theme provider (‘origin mag’ by WPZoom on Themeforest.net) and am waiting to hear from them. Has anyone else has this problem?
I have tried changing a few things in my .htaccess file from this link I was sent https://www.nullin.com/2009/11/30/fix-500-internal-error-in-wordpress/ but it didn’t change anything.

    This is the error message:

    INTERNAL SERVER ERROR
The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request.

Please contact the server administrator and inform them of the time the error occurred, and anything you might have done that may have caused the error.

More information about this error may be available in the server error log.
Apache Server at girltalkhq.com Port 80

I am getting the same error. Nothing on the site has changed and the site is hosted by GoDaddy. I will bet it is on their end.

I have tried godaddy and they said everything is working fine their end, what else could it possibly be? It is still happening, I have disabled all plugins and still nothing.
    What else have you tried?

I have just encountered this on my client’s site. I have not changed anything since I was last updating the site a week or so ago. I have had problems with Go Daddy in the past and suspect it is them even though they say it is not. I am going to backup the site; update WP and then see what happens. I will let you know.

How and where do you back up your site? I tried to update WP but nothing changed because there were no updates available. But please let me know if anything happens after you try this.

I am copying the files via FTP and I backed up the database via PHPMyAdmin.

So, basic trouble shooting 101. Disable all your plugins again. If that fixes the issue, reactivate them one by one. In between each activation, test to see if your issue persists. If you activate one and your error crops up, you know it was that plugin and you can proceed to troubleshoot the plugin. Until you start doing troubleshooting steps, there is little anyone on this forum can do for you unfortunately but guide you through them. Let us know how this part goes.

    Hey Andrew,

In my original message I had outlined that I already did the plugin option ?? I detailed everything I did and that it didn’t work.
Do you have any suggestions? It keeps happening anytime I try to upload a photo or post something on my site. It literally only started 2 days ago. I have logged in and out, tried a different browser but nothing changes. My server host Godaddy assures their end is fine but now Im beginning to wonder if I should go back to them?

    Right, you said:

I called my host server at godaddy and they helped me trouble shoot by disabling each plugin one by one then it seemed to work again.

So, did you reenable the plugins that you disabled? If not, do you have access to the apache server logs?

On the phone with GoDaddy now. Hoping to have a resolution for us soon.

Yep I re-enabled them and tried the entire process all over again (disabling each one then re-enabling each one, one by one) and nothing ??
I have access to the entire FTP file, is the apache server logs in there? (sorry, excuse my lack of technical speak!)

GoDaddy just told me that they were able to recreate the issue on their end so they are now working on fixing the problem that lies with them. Ashadahya, I would recommend call GoDaddy and have them look into your problem on their end. Good luck.

    (@redwolfgirl66)

Don’t let them tell you it is your problem. Reference my issue; that will help.

    (@ashadahya)

Thanks Redwolfgirl66! What should I tell them instead of saying it is my problem?

    redwolfgirl66

    (@redwolfgirl66)

Tell them that they are currently looking into the same exact issue for another GoDaddy hosted site. I am not sure what the problem is at this point but it is definitely on their end. Ask them to try to recreate the issue on their end.

    (@ashadahya)

Ok will do. Thank you! calling them now. I will post an update if I get any results, could you do the same too?
