    Hi there!

Thank for reaching out. There can be a number of reasons why your client encountered the Internal Server Error notice, including but not limited to the below:

    • PHP memory limit
    • Hosting configuration (when I try to access the referenced site at present I’m redirected to what looks like a verification html file)
    • Corrupt or modified .htaccess files

When you mention you tried to manually deactivate the plugin manually have you tried to delete or rename the plugin folder (wp-content/plugins/google-site-kit)? Your host may also want to check with their hosting provider for any changes made.

    Hi !

I will check the php memory limit.

Yes I saw the html file. That html file came with the problem from the client.

I renamed the plugin folder and the separate plugin folder.

I am with the hosting provider ,i’m the designer assigned to sort out the error. There isn’t any changes from our side.

I just increased the php memory limit and that didn’t do anything

Thanks for the update. Once you’ve renamed the Site Kit plugin folder it automatically deactivates the plugin. The issue therefore isn’t likely as a result of the Site Kit plugin being uploaded or activated.

In relation to increasing the memory limit that’s good to one, one less thing to troubleshooting.

Your next step is to contact your hosting provider or follow general troubleshooting guides for such “Internal Server Errors”. Your control panel may contain error logs which can help indicate where the issue lies. When discussing with your hosting provider or checking your settings try to confirm the default document for this website, or check why your index.php file is inaccessible.
