Internal server error 500 on WP 4.1.1

  • Upgraded to WP 4.1.1 but the site crashed totally. Deactivated all plugins and noticed that the nextgen gallery pluging causes the crash. When I switch it on, the main url / homepage displays Internal Server Error 500 directly. I can still access the dashboard etc however. I have the plugin disabled now until it’s resolved.

    Any ideas?

    @shadowfire77 – I would suspect something specific to your site as this is not happening everywhere so it is not a NextGEN Gallery / WordPress 4.1.1 conflict.

    Have you tried temporarily switching to a default WordPress Twenty series theme?
