    Hi,
I’ve installed wordpress and s2member on a share hosting.
While trying to configurate general options of plugin I suddenly noted that many images inside the backend didn’t show. Then I tried to add a custom field to the registration form, but this didn’t work at all.
So, I opened the console, that return me several “Error 500”.
I deleted “Option -Indexes” from .htaccess file in plugin dir and now custom fields seems to work.
Is it possible this affect s2member functioning in any way?
Are there any contraindication in doing this?

    Thanks in advance.

  • You may try this scanner on your hosting, maybe you will get some clues.

Ok thanks, but I asked another question. I know where is the problem, I contacted my shared hosting provider and they told me that the server configuration can’t be changed. I’d like to know if deleting “Option -Indexes” from main plugin .htaccess could affect plugin functioning.

Sorry, seems was too sleepy yesterday…

No, but will reduce security of the plugin, and the WP at all.
