  • Am having a similar issue as Levente. But only when I test payment to Paypal. Other pay methods seem fine. All pages are installed & email address are functioning well.

    Here’s my website

Other than that, Woocommerce would have to be the bestest plugin ever, ever, ever.

WC 2.4.7 works for most, so the cause is likely to be some incompatibility with one of your plugins or your theme.

If you can get into admin, deactivate plugins that way. If not, you can disable your plugins by renaming their directory using ftp or your host’s file manager software.

Similarly if you rename the theme folder the default theme should kick in.

By trial and error, try to identify the software component that is causing the problem.

Its at this point you are glad you have a recent backup.

    Hi,

I have the same issue. Let me include what I’ve seen till now.

I’ve got a problem with the check out. In the moment a user press the button “Check out” the shop returns an error: Internal Server Error.
You can find the error in the following screenshot: https://www.teachcampus.com/images/error.png

Please, notice that it’s not a 500 Internal server error returned by the server and a black page, it’s a controlled error returned by WP.

I’ve tried several things such as remove plugins, increase the memory, etc… and nothing. I’ve noticed few things that maybe can help:

    1) If the user sign up in the system before to the purchase and when press the Check out button is already logged in the system, then it works.

    2) If I rename .htaccess file (i.e. .htaccess.bak) and push the Check out button again then it returns a different message than Internal Server Error. So, It looks like this could be a clue. But I’ve tried to remove it, regenarate it with the permalinks, etc… and nothing works.

    3) Even though, of the error in the moment that the user push “Check out” button the user is generated in the WP.

    @catalabox
I would not expect 64MB to be enough memory for your long list of plugins. I suggest you increase it to 256MB. Sorry I can’t say if that will fix the problem.

    Hi @lorro

Thanks for your quick answer. I’ve tried increasing memory to 256M and 512M and I have the same issue.

I had an internal server error when checking out in WooCommerce and after frustrating round after round of testing, discovered that when I turn off the Woocommerce Mailchimp plugin, the checkout process works.
Let me know if this helps anyone else!

    Hey folks,
Please shoot an email to your hosting provider describing your problem or request them to provide you the later version of php installation.
Let me know if it works. Thanks in advance!

Has anyone figured this out or tested the solutions provided above?
I’m having the same issue but mine seems to be more random. sometimes it happens when working in the dashboard, sometimes it happens when people checkout. The only thing that i can possibly correlate to this happening is possibly when the google bots hit my site but I can’t even confirm that as it doesn’t seem to be constant. All I know is about once a week or so my site starts issues this all the time for a few hours then it just goes away.
My host has been no help at all and I can’t find any error in any logs even with the debugger enabled.
