• Hello

Tried to install Flare to my WordPress blog (version unknown) and I haven’t been able to access the dashboard since.

The message I see, instead of my site, is the following .. can you help?

    “Internal Server Error

The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request.

Please contact the server administrator, [email protected] and inform them of the time the error occurred, and anything you might have done that may have caused the error.

More information about this error may be available in the server error log.

Additionally, a 500 Internal Server Error error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.”

I think the first thing you should do is to remove the plugin manually.. You can do so by following these steps:
    1. Login to your server using FTP
    2. go to wp-content/plugins/flare
    3. delete the directory flare

Go back and try to access your website. If that didnt fix it than:
    1. Go back to your server using FTP in the root directory of your wordpress installation locate the .htaccess file
    2. Rename it to something like .htaccess-old

The first steps will remove the plugin from your wordpress website so wordpress will deactivated automatically because of the missing directoy.

The second steps will diable the .htaccess so if it is corrupted than you will have to generate a new one.

If you managed to access your website and need to generate a new .htaccess file, just navigate to Settings -> Permalinks and hit save

    Hope this help.
