Internal Server Error

  • I’m getting a ‘500 Internal Server Error’ whenever I create a new post or edit an existing one. I was also getting the same error when I tried to login but I fixed that by editing the .htaccess file, thanks to this post. I tried editing the database version using PHP MyAdmin and rerunning the upgrade and that didn’t fix the problem. Does anyone have any suggestions?

  • Do your files all have the correct permissions ? 500 errors are more often host-based errors than WP errors.

    I uploaded the new files on top of the old ones so they should have the same permissions as the files from v2.5.1.
