    Hello!

I very much appreciate your help – I am desperate…

I created a website with the Beaver Builder and translated it with TranslatePress (Personal) from German into English, using English as default language but German as the first language. It worked well and I was pleased.

However, there are quite a few internal links and I now detected that they do not work anymore after the first switch of the language (I enabled “Force language in custom links” in the settings). If I follow an internal link on a German page for the first time, an “/en/” is added to the HTML Code of that specific link in the default language (English) – e.g. “<p class=”gross”><i><strong><a href=/en/https://www.wp.we-care.ch/en/medical-treatment”/…&#8221; (and the code is marked as being incorrect) instead of “<p class=”gross”><i><strong><a href=”https://www.wp.we-care.ch/en/medical-treatment”…&#8221;. If I then try to follow that link in the default language English, I get “Sorry, this page does not seem to exist” (because the HTML code is incorrect). If I deactivate “Force language in custom links”, following the internal link on the German page takes me to the English page.

I am very thankful for any suggestions to try out because I have no idea how to solve this issue. Have a good day!

    Hello there,

    Thank you for reaching us!

Sorry, but we are not allowed to speak about the paid versions here. In case you would like to have that conversation please open a support ticket using our site https://translatepress.com/support/ .

    Thank you for your understanding.

    Best Regards,

    Anca

    Hello Anca!

Thank you very much for your message. Three days ago I already opened a support ticket (I even chose a paid support) but no answer so far (my request was confirmed in an automatically generated email so I know that it arrived). As it is urgent – it is the website of a small aid organisation and we cannot continue our work without an English version of the website (in order to get a license for our aid organisation) – I also posted my issue in this community.

I have never experienced that it takes so long to get a support answer for a paid version of a program and the willigness to pay for the support in addition. It is a pity and does not throw – in my opinion – a good light on the support of TranslatePress. There are several programs to translate a website – it is not always easy to make a choice, however, a good support can make the difference.

I understand that it is not possible to get an answer here but thank you for taking the time to let me know. I wish you all the best!

We need to take the pulse of this ticket. Is there still an issue?
In the meantime, I set this ticket as Resolved. You can also change its status back to unresolved and let us know by replying to this topic if your reqeust still needs attention.
Another option is to let this ticket as it is and open a new one where to mention the issue again and ask for support.
