Internal links classified as external

Hi,

All internal links from a Spanish page https://www.domain.com/es/
to the same domain https://www.domain.com/xxxxx
are marked with data-wpel-link=”external”.
And it applies rel=”nofollow” to them, as a result

Only links to other Spanish pages, like https://www.domain.com/es/xxxxx
are marked with data-wpel-link=”internal”

I don’t have this site exclusions, since this is all the same main domain, just a different subpath /es/.
domain.com in the examples below is the WP domain where the plugin is installed.
I’m using the latest version 2.46
