Internal links are not translated

    Hi.

    Thanks for great plugin, malaiac! It is very useful.

    I have a question about internal links. It is a common showcase.

    Lets have English website with 2 pages: EN-P1 and EN-P2.

    EN-P2 links to EN-P1

    After French translation we will have 2 pages: FR-P1 and FR-P2.

    Expectation: FR-P2 links to FR-P1

    What happens: FR-P2 links to EN-P1

    I could guess people want language ‘isolation’. If I know only French, why am I redirected to English version.

    Any idea? Any workaround?

    I use PolyLang.

    It seems such WPML has this feature – “Translate Link Targets“. I think it iterates trough all pages and if it finds an internal link to other language, transforms it to corresponding language.

    Another approach would be to use “language-independent links”. But I cannot find something like it. I mean link to a fixed-language page which is being transformed (by sth) to the page of current language.
