Hello. I have had intermittent ‘Error establishing a database connection’ since the last update I did in August. When I try to work on a product, I sometimes get the above error message, when I click on the browser back arrow I can then do edits. I have disabled all plugins (except woocommerce) and the error continues. I have disabled the theme and the error continues. I have requested help from ET (Divi) and they say it’s not on their side. I have requested assistance from the hosting provider (Xneelo.co.za) and they say it’s not on their side. I’m at such a loss and have tried all kinds of troubleshooting to no avail.

I had a developer roll back to the previous version of WooCommerce which helped slightly and for a few months but the problem is getting worse again.

Please I need assistance with this urgently. My client (who updates their own products) is losing the patience with me (fully understandable at this point).

Please, please, please can someone help me fix this problem.

From the system status report you’ve shared, it looks like your WordPress version is outdated. You’re currently using version 6.3.2, while the latest version is 6.4.2. This could potentially be causing the issues you’re experiencing. Also, make sure to update WooCommerce to the latest version too.

Before proceeding with the update, please ensure that you have a complete backup of your website. Once you have that, you can update WordPress and WooCommerce.

After updating WordPress and WooCommerce, please downgrade your PHP to 8.1.26 and check if you’re still experiencing the same issues. If the problem persists, it could be related to your database. You may need to repair your WordPress database. You can do this by adding the following line in your wp-config.php file: define('WP_ALLOW_REPAIR', true);

Once you’ve added this line, you can access the settings by visiting this page: https://www.yourwebsite.com/wp-admin/maint/repair.php. (Remember to replace “yourwebsite.com” with your actual website URL.)

Please remember to remove this line from your wp-config.php file once you’re done repairing the database to prevent others from messing with your database.
