    Hi,

I am experiencing an interference between Wordfence plugin and Layerslider plugin.

Layerslider loads a youtube video in a popup window. But when Wordfence is activate it does not work anymore. The video seems to load indefinitely.

According to Layerslider creator, an Unrecognized Content-Security-Policy directive ‘policy’ is causing the issue.

Please could you help me to solve this interaction problem, may be bby setting better Wordfence ?

  • Hi geco06,
Wordfence does not set a content security policy for your website so it sounds like the issue could be something other than Wordfence. If you have implemented a content security policy, you may have a typo in there or something along those lines.

If Wordfence is blocking it, you will be able to see a record of this in Live Traffic and there will be a button you can use to whitelist the requests from the Firewall. So you can easily check if Wordfence is the cause by checking Live Traffic, or by deactivating Wordfence quickly to see if that resolves the issue.

Let me know how it goes!

    Hello

I am having the same issue ?? I had setup the site fully and everything was working perfectly. I had implemented various videos as backgrounds using layerslider and as soon as Wordfence was installed and setup no videos will show at all. I have deactivated this and still it won’t work again. No other changes we made to the site only enabling of Wordfence so I think there is a conflicting issue with these modules.

I am basically stuck with blank headers now and have no idea how to resolve!

Any suggestions would be welcome before I have to remove WF and start the project again from scratch.

    Hi boogieman20,
Sorry for the late response, just going through old cases catching up. If Wordfence is deactivated it can’t block anything so I’m not quite sure what could have been happening there. Is it possible that the Layerslider plugin is trying to execute .php from the uploads folder? Wordfence has a feature that prevents that. If you think that could be the case, check the wp-content/uploads/ folder and if you find a .htaccess file there – delete it.

Again, sorry I missed your reply before. Hope you are all set at this point but if not let us know.

    Thanks,
