Interesting, but too much trouble

  • I chose this theme for a site and immediately created a child theme. The problems started there. Even after getting to an acceptable point I was then faced with several updates to the parent theme which broke the child theme. After several days I changed themes since working with Expound was just too much trouble.

    Hey there! Sorry to hear about the bad experience you had with Expound. Indeed, some of our earlier changes were a tiny bit radical to child themes, but to be fair, they were needed for better child theme support in Expound, especially the CSS load ordering/priorities.

    Hope you can give the latest version a spin if you have time, and don’t hesitate to reach out if you have any other problems!

    And I would certainly have to disagree that for most people the them is too much trouble. I found it easy to develop a nice looking site – cine-phile.com – without any previous experience. Thanks, Konstantin
