Interested in Updating / Forking FancyBox for WordPress

Hi,

I’m interested in updating this plugin for some commercial changes I need. I could fork it, but would seriously rather not.

Here’s the two things I’d like for images:

1. Auto-caption: If the image’s link does not have a title tag attached to it, use the alt tag as a caption. If there is no alt tag, fall back to the image’s actual caption (from WP). If there’s nothing else, then have no fancybox caption.
2. Call to Action I’d like to find a way to insert a call to action to the image popup. For instance, a “Buy it Now” kind of button. This would either be pulled from the post’s custom meta, or from some kind of data tag on the image’s link.

I’d imagine much of this could be done with some additional JS, but my JS is sloppy so I’d be willing to pay for my added plugin or to get it built in as an option for this plugin.
