• I’ve really enjoyed using the WordPress eStore. It’s easy to set up and easy to use, and facilitates my life as a virtual proprietor.

However, my store has several (large) classes of items which are of the same type and therefore are identically-priced. I’m wondering if there’s a way to provide for a pricing option where I could select an item type for items of the same kind, and then manage their identical prices by changing the price in the item type data. Of course, the price for each catalog item should be independently settable. Here’s what I’m thinking:

    – Item classes (e.g. Widget 1 at $5.00 and Widget 2 at $3.00) should be definable.

    – Each store item should have two options, one to set the price as defined in an item class, and one to set the price individually (i.e. just as things are now). I’d think that setting the individual price should override the item class price.

    – Changing the price for an item class would change the price for every catalog item that is defined as being in that item class.

Thanks for your consideration – keep up the good work!
