Interest Group Fields Require option?

  • This is a great plugin. Was wondering if there is a way I can edit the plugin to make the Mailchimp Interest Groups a required filed. We are using the pluggin for newsletter subscription. The user can select several newsletters to subscribe to but if they don’t they can still submit the form which we don’t want them to do.

    Thanks for writing in to us for assistance. In MailChimp, groups are always seen as optional so none of the official subscription methods allow for requiring groups, including the official WordPress plugin.

    A developer may be able to modify the Embedded code (https://eepurl.com/gOGN) to turn groups into required fields. Otherwise, we’d recommend getting a developer to create custom forms with required checkboxes which use the API to submit the accepted values to MailChimp.
