Intended replacement for older Payeezy plugin?

  • Payeezy customer here… just got word that our Payeezy account will be changing over to use Clover in the next month. We use what is currently called “WooCommerce Clover (formerly First Data Payeezy Gateway)” over on the Woocommerce store and I have already read that the old Payeezy apis will keep working after the switchover and so I won’t need to do any technical changes when the cutover happens.     I’m curious what the intention is going forward? Is this “Clover Payments for Woocommerce” extension intended as a long term replacement for the existing “WooCommerce Clover (formerly First Data Payeezy Gateway)” plugin? It seems this plugin is relatively new and pretty limited in it’s functionality as of now.

    Will this plugin include the Telecheck functionality as well?

    Posting what I found out here in case it is helpful to any other former Payeezy customers… Clover doesn’t have a Woocommerce plugin that offers their Telecheck/echeck/ach payment method any longer. If/when you get migrated to Clover accounts you will loose access to Telecheck. This “Clover Payments for WooCommerce” plugin is likely very good for credit card transactions but it appears there is no functionality for Telecheck. My rep at Fiserv/First Data had no idea this was the case and was a bit surprised, now we are in the look for another echeck gateway.
