Hi! I set up your plugin and tested the Stripe connection with a Test API. It worked great with a test API. When I switched over to a Live Environment, I am recieving this error: IntegrationError: Please call Stripe() with your publishable key. You used an empty string.

I reached out to Stripe Support and they told me to contact the Plugin creator. They said it seems the plugin creators are using the wrong publishing key in the wrong place.

To replicate this issue, please follow these steps:

    1. Go to: https://bereadyexplorers.com/product/pelican-print/
    2. Click “Add to Cart”
    3. Proceed to “Checkout”
    4. The error should pop-up once you click “Checkout”

I tried this on different browsers and with different products and still receive the same error. Can you please advise how to resolve this? Thanks!

    UPDATE:

I rolled back the plugin from the version 5.1.0, which causes the issue outlined above, it’s previous version, 5.0.0. I tested the payment system in the live environment on the rolled back version 5.0.0 and it works. I believe the issue above is due to the new update. Please advise a way around this, as I do not want to have an outdated plugin on my website (especially a payment gateway plugin) for very long.

    Thanks,
    Meg

    Hi @megank92,

Thanks so much for reaching out to us about this issue, and for letting us know that this resolved when you rolled back.

We’ve just released Stripe v. 5.2.0. Could you please update to the latest version and see if you are still seeing this issue?

If you are seeing this issue with 5.2.0, please try the following:

    1. In your WooCommerce site, go to WooCommerce > Settings > Payments > Stripe
    2. In your Stripe dashboard, go to Developers > API Keys
    3. Copy both your Publishable Key and your Secret Key and paste them into your Stripe settings on your WooCommerce site
    4. Save your settings and test again

Please let us know how that goes!

Hello, I also have this issue. I cannot get a Stripe API because I use Woocommerce Payments, which is managed by Stripe, so I cannot log into a Stripe dashboard. How do I solve this issue?

    Hey @stephunique!

When using the WooCommerce Payments plugin, you won’t be able to access the Stripe dashboard directly. Instead, everything is managed in the Payments menu within your site’s admin dashboard.

The Stripe dashboard is only available if you sign up with Stripe.com directly, and you can then use our Stripe plugin to accept payments on your site.
