    Hi,
I just updated to the 5.1.0 version and saw the merge between Article and Recipe schema detected before the plugin was updated.

This is ok and it’s great!

But this warning appeared.. Could you tell me who generates it?

    Warning mainEntityOfPage:
The mainEntityOfPage field is recommended. Please provide a value if available.

    Regards

We set the recipe to be the mainEntityOfPage instead of the article. Google is just warning you that the article isn’t the main entity, but that’s normal in this case.

You can check in their documentation where it says this about “mainEntityOfPage”:

Specify mainEntityOfPage when the article is the primary topic of the article page.

    Tks @brechtvds for your reply!

In my case the recipe is the main topic of the page, how can I declare it?

That’s what we’re doing? We’re indicating that the recipe is the main topic of the page.

The mainEntityOfPage value to which I refer is not of the recipe (which is right), but of the Article..

Our plugin has made the recipe the mainEntityOfPage instead of the article. You can’t have 2 main entities.

As explained above, Googles own documentation says to only “specify mainEntityOfPage when the article is the primary topic of the article page”. The article is not the primary topic. The recipe is the primary topic.

So yes, you’ll get the warning, but there is no problem. Not all warnings are issues.

My recipe cards have decreased in google search console. I am using All in one Seo. Is it possible because of this update?

@indranisen2003 this update was less than 24 hours ago so it’s definitely not because of that. It also does not change anything at all if you’re not using Yoast SEO.

Maybe it’s related to the issue Google is experiencing on their end?
