Integration with Email before download

  • Hi,
    I use mailchimp and I found out the CF7 Autoresponder Addon. Great! It works like a charm!

    Now I want to delivery a free ebook, and I want to store on my website the user+email data, but honestly an automatic storage to mailchimp would be very much better.

    I’m testing Email Before Download plugin, that works using together both the CF7 and Download Monitor.

    Briefly the process is:
    – create CF7 form to collect the user data (ID X)
    – create a download monitor file of the ebook (ID Y)
    – place the Email Before Download shortcode that contain the #X and the #Y

    the shortcode looks like:
    [email-download download_id="X" contact_form_id="Y"]

    I thought that, as the form to collect data is on CF7, the user data for the Email Before Download would be treated as the ones of the CF7. But something is not working as I really hoped.

    My question is, in your opinion there could be a way to allow this?

    Which data specifically would you ideally like to insert into your mailchimp list or to collect?
