    Hello,

I’d like to use Fluent CRM as a paid customer, but before I do, I have a question. Here’s a quick rundown with some background info:

    1. I’ve developed Learndash courses as lead generation tools: Register and receive a free course.
    2. ‘Free ‘ learndash courses require wordpress user registration- essentially a content restriction method or very basic membership feature.
    3. I’ve chosen to use ‘user registration’ plugin by WP Everest for this registration/sign-up process:  https://wpeverest.com/wordpress-plugins/user-registration
    4. The WP user registration form info includes name, email, and I’ve added a field or checkbox where they’ll share their occupation with me.  This will allow me to segment my audience, as each different profession will receive a different email marketing campaign.
    5. I’d like to use FluentCRM and create different campaigns targeting the segments mentioned in #4 above.
    6. Does FluentCRM have custom contact meta that could be mapped to WordPress user meta that’s created via a registration or membership plugin?
    7. If so, is it possible to segment audiences within FCRM based on this synced user meta– perhaps by using tags, etc?

Please let me know if this seems possible, or if we’re getting into custom development territory here

    Thanks!

    Michael

  • Hello @michaelbgood,

You can create custom contact fields in FluentCRM and map the fields to WordPress user meta. For more details on FluentCRM custom contact field, check our documentation here.

You can create dynamic segments in FluentCRM based on tags or custom contact fields, see this screenshot.

    Thank you!

Hi Tahmid! thank you so much for your response.

How are the WP user meta (the source) mapped to the custom Fluent contact fields (destination)? Is this integration included in the plugin, or do I need some sort of automation or plugin with a webhook?

    Thanks!

    Michael

    Hello @michaelbgood,

Actually, the WP user meta and custom fields data are not directly synced. If you use FluentForms to capture the contact data, then you can use the FluentCRM integration to create a contact in CRM and in the integration settings you can map the custom fields.

Also, on the same Form you can create a user registration feed and map the User meta from the user registration settings in Fluent Forms.

This is a workaround but I hope it will work for your use case.

    Thank you!
