Looks like a great plugin! However when using Google to sign in to our app I have “Send post-registration email to user to set account password” enabled – however the user never does receive account credentials? Is this normal or is there something else that needs to be setup? Admin notification emails work fine from the theme.

As I test I also turned on “Enable email verification” and no verification email was generated? (Of note we are using “Post SMTP” and regular site emails are functioning properly).

Also, is there an option to allow the user authenticating to create their own username (for BuddyPress), rather than it just taking the first part of the email address?

I look forward to your reply.

    Thanks

If you have checked the “Send post-registration email to user to set account password” checkbox, new users should be receiving email for the same. You can try keeping only this plugin active for a while just to check if this makes any difference and if some other plugin is causing conflict. If you are still not sure, please drop an email at support[at]heateor[dot]com.

Email verification is only to verify the email specified by the social login users in case social network doesn’t provide their email address with other social profile data. It’s not related to the issue you are facing.

Sorry, there isn’t any such option. We will take care of it in upcoming releases.
