integration with buddypress

First, could you make an option to add a forum tab instead of activity tab of Buddypress? It would be better to separate room for forum activity stream as an option.(Activity tab or Forum tab)

We’ve integrated wpForo topics and posts in BuddyPress Activity system, this is a one tab, there is no way to load topic and posts in different tab keeping BuddyPress activity functions and features. If we load it in different tab, it’ll be a simple list of member topics and posts. This kind of simple list already exists in Forum Profile > Activity tab.

Second, if one of users replied on another user’s topic, buddypress alarm is not working. Could you make it work? if forum activity is alramed through Buddypress alarm, it would be cool for community!

I agree with him/her.
I was looking forward to it, but I have disappointed a bit.
If I replied on the topic, it is not shown on the activity tab.
Only topic is shown on the activity tab. Why not treating replies on the activity tab too?
In addition, in case of bbpress, there’s a separate tab and it’s much better neat.

Regarding alarm issue, not only reply and topic, but also user tag (@user) alarm is needed.

I don’t think so. Both, topics and replies are integrated. They are displayed on your activity page. they are not become an activity comment, but they are inserted as a new activity in author activity tab. Please check it properly.

Reply must be shown like comments.
Other than author, anyone who replies on the topic must seen their forum activities I think.

Activity comments are not “activity” content type, they are different content type and stored in different system. I’m sorry but we can’t convert topic reply to activity comments. They are not-convertible. if you’ll find some solution please let us know, we’ll take a look on that. Thank you.

It seems you’re not talking about Activity, you’re talking about User Forums in Profile Page. This is a differnt case. We may consider to synchronize User Forums. This is possible. but the activity comment is just a comment to current activity.

For example “John just liked X post”. This is an activity. And in activity page poeple can comment and say “that’s great!”. How this comment can be compared with forum reply?

The same with Topic and posts. Activity is like an Event. Comments are Event comment not the actual discussion in forum.

On Buddypress site, once it is activated, some message show up:

This case is exactly what I want.
Reply activity on forum is displayed on the activity stream and there’s another tab for forum in Buddypress profile.

wpForo does this (i think this is the wpForo one, if not try and you’ll see the same). Topics, Replies and Likes are being posted on X User Activity page. All is already working. Make sure the Activity Filter drop-down is not selected to other types. You should see in Activity Filter drop-down these options:

• Forum topic
• Forum post
• Forum Post Like

These are wpForo integrated activities.

I’m really sorry! I didn’t know that because disapproved post->approved post is not displayed in activity stream. Only user’ post who have whole permission is displayed in activity stream. Thank you! Great ??

I’m sorry but we can’t move all features and functions of wpForo Profile system to BuddyPress. This is something impossible. wpForo Profile system is under active development and improvement and it has many forum specific features. We may consider to add an option to redirect profiles to BuddyPress or vice versa, but the target profile system will not have redirected source profile features. It’ll be a simple change / replacement.
