• Hello Community,

we are currently building a new page with WordPress. The start page should be kept quite simple. We just want to use a header and an interactive map where you can click on different countries. We have already bought a plugin for this. We are using the Theme ?Nisarg“.

Is there a way to add this map to the start page without it being a contribution (i.e. without a box around it or an author)?

Thank you very much for your help.

    Many greetings

  • It would depend on the options the map plugin provides you. If they give you a shortcode to insert the map into your site you could create a page in WordPress that you intend to have as the homepage of your site.

Then in that page, you would add the map shortcode as a shortcode block where you’d want it to display in the content. After that, go to Settings->Reading and set the page as the Homepage static page.

May require some CSS tweaks to get it to display correctly but should be a start.

    Hi Jarret,

Thank you so much for your help and I think I fixed it. However, there are are still grey lines around the map (maybe you could have a look at the page). Is there any possibility to delete them or to change the colour to white?

    Thanks again!
