• Does this Plugin let me direct a subscriber to a download area where a unique hash (link) is created for each of the files in that download area? The members buy one membership to access, and possibly download, any of the 25 files, when they feel like it.

I’m using WP Plugin Exchange Membership Plugin.
I’ve got hard URL links in an area restricted to member content.
This is no good. I want links that expire.

If I continue to use Exchange Membership Plugin to manage the membership content and Customer Area plugin to expire the downloads?

    Hi,

No, in Customer Area the links do not expire.

One easy way to handle that would be to change the user role when his membership expires. Else you would need some code to do that.

If they kept the links, they would still be able to download the products after membership expires.

Not if you assign the private content for example, to the “member” role. Then if the user is given the “expired_member” role (for example) he will not be able to download that file.

Those role names are just examples, I don’t know what they are called and if the Exchange Membership can handle membership that way.

The link is the URL to the image product they would download.
They would not be able to access the download area, however, they could simply put the URL link to the image in their browser and download it.

No, because private files are secured in customer area. Just try it, it’s free.

Thanks Vincent. I appreciate your contribution to this forum. This is valuable information to me. I hope it is a solution. I’ll try it.
