Integrating Relevanssi with a Theme that has no Search Form

  • I have a real estate theme from Themeshift Called DeCasa

    My site is found here:

    This theme gets rid of the default search function that wordpress sites come with… Is it possible to use this Relevanssi Plugin with my theme I have?

    It already has a search function, but it’s by post category, and I don’t have enough listings to make it fill out nicely, hence the reason I want this search box on the site so users can search a broad range of words.

    Yes. The theme doesn’t remove the search function (here’s a search), just removes the search box. Add a search box and Relevanssi will work just fine.

    From where? Download a plugin or just make one from scratch?

    WordPress search field is a text input field with an id “s”. That’s it. Submit button if you wish so. Just copy it from any WordPress site.
