Integrating Elementor into a custom theme.

I will like to know what I will need in my index.php file or my custom theme in other to have elementor work with it.
This is what I have in my index.php and page.php files but elementor refuses to load.
get_header();
if(have_posts()):
while(have_posts):
the_post();
the_content();
endwhile;
endif;
get_footer();

Please if there’s any boilerplate or tutorial you can refer me to, I had be grateful. Thank you.
