Integrates bbPress perfectly on MultiSite

  • I’ve not been so excited since I installed Pods! ??

    Within 2 minutes, I :

    1. Installed this bbPress Slack Integration plugin.
    2. Set up 2 Slack webhooks.
    3. Posted 2 messages in separate bbPress forums on MultiSite (that’s where the time went).
    4. Got both bbPress replies in my Slack account

    Brilliant!

    Just a minor point. Integration fails with long messages. I’ve narrowed it down to:

    if ( 500 < strlen( $excerpt ) ) {
			$excerpt = substr( $excerpt, 0, 500 );
		}

    I don’t know what the actual limit is, and I cannot find it in the Slack docs. 160 works. 175 doesn’t. If it’s good enough for Twitter…
