    Hi,

    I’ve got a question about the ‘Integrate with Akismet’ function of the Pirate Forms plugin.

    How is a message, send through the contact form plugin, determined to be spam by Akismet or; at what moment does Akismet blocks the sending of messages?

    After some testing I found out that the sending of a message is blocked after three messages has been send shortly after each other which would be good for me. But I am concerned that Akismet is filtering messages as spam and blocks the sending while it is’nt spam which would be very annoying to visiters.

  • Hi there, the spam check happens before the email is sent. If it is detected as spam the form would show an error to the user.

    Specifically “Form submission failed!!”
