    Got it! Thank you. For some reason I didn’t notice that second box. That’s what I was looking for. Is it possible for me to change the text to something besides “notify me of new posts via email?”

    I’m afraid you won’t be able to customize that text, as it’s part of the Jetpack Comment form that’s added by the Jetpack Comments module on your site.
