First of all, this is an excellent plugin and all the features have been extremely useful and work without issue.

However, the latest release has a welcome notification, literally at the top of every WP admin page, even for non administrators. Yes, it can be dismissed, but it should be limited to WooCommerce related pages, if not the plugin’s settings tab alone.

Guideline #11 in the WordPress Developer’s Handbook states “Plugins should not hijack the admin dashboard… Upgrade prompts, notices, alerts, and the like must be limited in scope and used sparingly, be that contextually or only on the plugin’s setting page.”

    Hey Rhett,

First up thanks for the feedback, I take it seriously.

The welcome notice is usually only visible at activation but since this is probably the first time you’ve seen it, it will likely show during update as WordPress’s upgrade cycle deactivates and reactivates the plugin. It’s contextual in that sense as it meant to be only during plugin activation that this shows.

The notice is dismissable top right and once you do it won’t show again.

That said we’ll make some tweaks here to make sure that it’s performing the way it was intended and not mistakenly showing in the wrong places or contexts.

Once again, thanks and I appreciate the quick feedback. Give us some time to tweak this and get it right ??

    Cheers,
    Josh
