Hello. I’ve signed up for both Stripe Live and Plaid Development mode. The institution search comes up fine when using the test credentials, but not the live credentials.

Do I have to wait for approval (and pay) for Plaid production mode before this will work?

    Thank you.

Hey there. Yes, you do need a live account in order for the live mode to work.

Exact same issue here, fresh WP install on WPEngine. Banks seem to come up when test mode is selected in the plugin options, but when switching to LIVE the banks will not pop up. My understanding is the Development environment supports up to 100 live Items? Doesn’t that mean I should be able to create actual live clients being billed via ACH in STRIPE? #confused

Maybe I should word this differently, can we actually bill clients in the development environment (up to the limit of 100 on FREE plan with Plaid)??

In sandbox mode, I’ve tested two banks, Chase and Wells. Both are correct credentials, I have them opened in another browser window to confirm. Both banks give error message when trying to connect with the plugin. Are there known issues here?

    Justinwhall,

Thank you for the help and the plugin.

By “Live Account”, do you mean “Plaid Production” account? In other words, do I have to pay Plaid to use the Plaid-Stripe integration? There is no way to get Plaid Link and Plaid Auth to work with a development account?

I have both a Live Stripe account a Plaid Development account. Both of these give me live (non-test) API keys. Plaid states I can use Development Mode with up to 100 live bank accounts.

I don’t know how we can even test using the 100 live bank accounts if institution search doesn’t even work.

    Thanks again.

Yes. You need a plaid production account (environments are shown on option page). Plaids envs are confusing. The plugin options for Plaid are either ‘sandbox’ or ‘production’. There is a third environment called ‘development’ that does support 100 live bank accounts. Currently, this plugin does not support that environment.

So to confirm, we can only test in sandbox mode, or, we have to go live with Plaid and pay their fees (which are pretty hefty if I recall) and we cannot use this for the 100 freebies? Fair to say it’s not a good fit if someone wants a free was to use ACH??

    Thanks

I just pushed up version 1.2.0 which adds support for plaids development environment. Give it a try.

I updated the plugin to support development environment, some progress, it connected right up to a bank account, I selected the account to charge $5 dollars, then clicked “Pay” button, it seems to get stuck on this part, the dot just flashes like it’s trying to go thru, but no payment in stripe that I can see, or in Plaid dashboard. Update: regarding my comment above, I tried a completely different wordpress site, also a fresh install, no other plugins, SSL certificate, etc. I’m able to connect to the bank in development mode, select the account to charge ($7), then when I click Pay, same as above, it still gets stuck and never actually goes thru. Appears to be a code issue

@crucible67 I am experiencing the same behavior.

Justinwhall, thank you again for updating the plugin so quickly and for being so responsive. Is there a certain channel you’d prefer for donations?

*EDIT* Nevermind, I found the “Donate” link on the first page. Thanks again.

@makesitechanges thanks for the feedback. I tried two banks, two different sites, same results. Happy to test updated version and give feedback when ready @jwind. Thanks!

Can one of you dig up your PHP error logs? My suspicion is it’s a token issue. Can you try with a new user?

    crucible67

    (@crucible67)

@jwind I assume you mean create a new wordpress user and then try it?

Correct. I’d also like your error logs so I can see where there error is happening.
