"?????" instead of words

  • I have a Persian site that was been down for the last 4 days. It has been restored by the techs in my hosting company however all the Persian text has been replaced with question marks. here is the site if you wish to take a peek. https://www.bemache.com

    The site has been up and running with the same theme and plugins for around 6 or more months.

    Somehow the techs can’t figure it out. encoding is set to UTF-8 in the back end.Thank you for any assistance.

  • That is usually set in the wp-config.php file.

    This is a good start but I must wait until my hosting company look it at. I have paid them to move the site from one account to another. This move has caused a lot of problems. Apparently, the tech who is doing it isn’t sharp enough. Initially, they told me that “the site was up”. They are very slow in responding to me and I am getting sick. It has been 4 days my site is down.
