I have fully installed 2.5.1 from scratch and set up the database.

I go to install.php, enter my blog details, and the same page comes back with blank fields. I tried going to install.php?step=2 but same effect.

    What am I doing wrong?

  • I have the same issue just a blank page when install.php comes up
the first config works fine and I can put in all my db detais.
    No tables are created also.

    Finally worked it out.

I had a very stupid line in my .htaccess file, as part of an effort to rid the web of nasty www prefixes.

The prefixes are still gone, but now so is the offending code and all is well.

what was the line of code you removed?

    I just checked I don’t have a .htaccess file
should I put one in the folder?
