Ok, I read instructions that instead of installing Zemanta, you can just go to your wordpress dashboard, click on users and then personal settings and then check mark the box for zemanta. I cannot find personal settings on my dashboard. Can you tell me where it would be because it is not under users?? Should I do it this way or should I just install a plugin instead? Does Zemanta allow us to use their pictures, etc so that we don’t infringe on any copyright issues? Thanks!

  • Hey!

The instructions you read were intended for our other plugin that we have integrated into the WordPress.COM platform and cannot be accessed by users whose blogs are hosted on www.remarpro.com (like yours).

Because of that, I would recommend you to just install & activate this plugin instead.

It’s also worth noting that this plugin only uses thumbnails from your own blog posts (and none others), so if your images on your blog don’t interfere with any copyrights, you should have nothing to worry about.

But if you would like to use copyright cleared images from around the web in your future blog posts, as well as quality, related articles from fellow bloggers, than the ‘Editorial Assistant by Zemanta’ is the plugin you are looking for. Here’s the link:

And here’s the link to our demo page, if you would like to see it in action first, before installing it: https://www.zemanta.com/demo/

Let me know what you think or if you have any more questions what-so-ever — I’ll gladly help!

Take care & have a nice day!

    Best,
    Silvo

thanks so much! I have installed this plugin now on my wordpress site. Does this mean now that any of the images I use from this plugin on my blog posts are copyright cleared?

Yes, the images you insert via our widget (‘Editorial Assistant by Zemanta’) are all copyright cleared and free to use, since all link back to the original.

We also encourage our users to leave the default credits with the image they’ve inserted, for publicity purposes.

Let me know if you have any more questions or if you need any further assistance — I’ll gladly help!

Take care & have a nice day!

    Best,
    Silvo
