Installing WP without removing old site

  • Hi there
    I’m not sure if this is the right place but I’ll try…
    I would like ti install A WP template without removing the old site (not until the WP site will be ready).
    Is there a safe way to do it?

  • Have you considered installing WordPress in a sub-folder?

    yes I have (after reading about it for the last hour)
    one question: installing it in subdirectory is done during the installation process (hosted in godaddy if you have an idea…)?

    Sorry but I have no idea if GD’s installer allows you to install WordPress in a sub-folder.

    You can create a subdomain and install the wordpress.
    once you are finished with development you can move the site to the live.
    Thats the safe way

    backup buddy will help you if you are not good at migrating wordpress site or you can hire an expert at jobs.wordpress.net
