Installing WordPress on Subdomain of a Non-WordPress Site

    Hi,

    I would like to install WordPress on a subdomain of my website that is not a WP site and configure it so I can use a WP plugin for that page. I assume that I just install WP on the subdomain? As far as configuration and the minimum plugins that would be necessary for security, what would be suggested? I will just be using Twenty Fifteen theme.
