Installing wordpress on multiple pages?

I’ve not used wordpress in years but am hoping to start up a blog soon so will be using it. How I want my blog laid out is so that it’s like a few blogs but on one website. There will be a menu with ‘fashion’, ‘art’, ‘music’ and ‘life’ and each of these will be seperate pages and seperate blogs so is it easy to install wordpress onto a few pages?

I know I could just install it on the main page and do categories but I want my entries to be sorted into those categories in the first place, rather than on the home page all entries are seen and then having to click to get them seperate. I hope someone get’s what I mean? Thanks for any help :]
