• Hi there,
I am planning to install a second instance of WP in a subdirectory (add-on) for a second blog. Using It’s been so long ago that I transferred from .com to .org. I have an existing account at ourmasculineheart.com but a site at deepdivingmen.com which is an add-on.
I am looking at a one-click install on Bluehost for a new site but I have a knowledge gap.

Does the installation install files on my Hard Drive?
If so – now I am working on a different computer and hard drive – how am I still able to edit my existing site at https://www.deepdivingmen.com on my new machine?

  • If your site is on Bluehost, no, nothing is installed on your local computer. Ditto for an existing site on a live server – you don’t need anything installed on your computer. If it’s a separate installation and domain name, you’ll have a separate login for each site.

Thanks WPYogi – that article helps.

I was confused by the above page and the word install – but I understand that the installation is onto the add-on domain and ‘live server’ rather than onto my hard drive.

Cool – I’ve not used BH, but on my host isn’t really easy – just set up the domain name in the hosting panel and do the 1-click install from there.
