Installing WordPress on a Domain that I have redirected to another Host

I am trying to establish a WordPress instance on Godaddy where I have the domain registered.

Currently that domain is redirected to a Bluehost account running a Joomla instance of the site.

How can I establish this new WordPress instance as a staging site and then switch it over to the production site when ready?

The domain is https://www.kodomon.com.au hosted at Bluehost – I am using Artisteer for the themes (Current site is a Joomla instance with a WordPress Blog like-themed integrated as one of the pages) – all is to be replaced by WordPress hosted at Godaddy
