• **Novice alert**

Trying to host my wordpress site with 1&1 so that my 1&1 emails will work with the same domain.

Things I have done so far:

    – created a MySQL 5.0 database on 1&1
    – created an FTP account
    – set the wp-config.php to match the database
    – uploaded wordpress to webspace explorer
    – changed my DNS settings to default (although my email still isn’t working??)

    Can anyone advise:

    a) whether any of these things are heading me in the right direction??
    b) what else I need to do?
    c) why my emails aren’t receiving (but they are sending)
    d) have I broken the internet… ??

    Many thanks

    Clair

Really?!!! I am going to be so surprised if I have done it right!! I have been trawling forums all day and learning as I go.
I will leave it now and see what happens (fingers crossed)

Unless anyone else has spotted any omissions or errors?
