• I downloaded WordPress from the homepage of this site (www.remarpro.com), but I don’t have a web host yet. I can’t find the downloaded information on my computer. I have a website but I plan to relaunch it as a WordPress blog but I will not do so until I am no longer with the company from which I am purchasing the websites. The reason I downloaded WordPress to my computer was to begin transfer of my articles to WordPress so that I could save time since there will be much to do. I’m unfamiliar with WordPress, it is far different than the websites that I am purchasing. Can I even prepare transfer of my articles before I even launch WordPress? And so I need a web host before I can even get started?

    Thanks

  • You’ll need some kind of hosting software, but it doesn’t necessarily have to be online – you could set up a local web server and database server on your computer.

Alternatively if your existing web sites are in another content management system, you could consider exporting their entries, for later importing into WP.
