Installing Suffision broke my themes page!

  • Hi. I just installed this theme but it broke all the themes page. Now if I visit this page:

    https://tenerinabags.com/wp-admin/themes.php

    I get the following error:

    Parse error: syntax error, unexpected ‘” by Marci-rom to } ‘ (T_CONSTANT_ENCAPSED_STRING) in /home4/righini/public_html/tenerinabags.com/wp-content/themes/suffusion/widgets/suffusion-subscription.php on line 45

    Please help! I cannot install any plugins anymore!

    It looks like you got an incomplete download of the theme.

    Using FTP cPanel or whatever file manager you use go to the wp-content>themes folder on your server and delete the Suffusion folder.

    Thanks colinsp, isnt’ this the forum for Suffusion? I’ll check the Aquoid anyway.

    In any case, I fixed it by commenting this block out from the file suffusion-widgets.php:

    /*
    if (!in_array(‘follow-me’, $disabled_widgets)) {
    include_once ($template_path . ‘/widgets/suffusion-subscription.php’);
    register_widget(“Suffusion_Subscription”); }
    */

    after that, it all loaded properly.

    It’s strange what you say: how could I possibly get an uncomplete download? I downloaded from here and the ZIP file was ok.

    It happens. There is no need to comment that out so it must be an incorrect download / install so I would blow it away and start again. The dedicated support forum is as I posted NOT here.
