Installing plugins on multisite does not affect any sub-site

  • Hi,

    There’s one major problem with my site here, I’ve installed WordPress Multisite, at first everything is working fine, but then, yesterday, I wanted to install one plugin, and I successfully installed it on my Multisite Network, I pressed Network Activate and then switch to my normal site, the plugin wasn’t there. I then tried installing another plugin, same happens. Please help!

    Not all plugins are created equally for Multisite. Some plugins need to be network activated, some cannot be , some can be but have the option to enable site by site. Try not network activating the plugin then go to the subsites and activate the plugins on the subsite level.

    They are not like themes where you can Network enable them then activate site by site. Plugins don’t work that way in Multisite. Hope that helps ??
