Installing plugins

  • When using the install plugins feature on my www.remarpro.com dashboard, when I try to Search Plugins for collapse-o-matic, I get this message:

    An unexpected error occurred. Something may be wrong with www.remarpro.com or this server’s configuration. If you continue to have problems, please try the support forums.

    When I try to upload a zip file, I get this message:

    Unable to create directory wp-content/uploads/2014/01. Is its parent directory writable by the server?

    I am working in an environment where I need to sign-in to the FTP code. What do I need to do to install a plugin through the WordPress system?
