Installing plugin in WordPress – files missing?
-
I am trying to install this, and it has activated fine, but I can’t find where to configure what I want it to do (block Brute Force Attack IP addresses). In the installation instructions it says:
1. Copy
wordpress.conf
to yourfail2ban/filters.d
directory
1. Editjail.local
to include something like: to copy the wordpress.conf file to: (etc)But I can’t find the /filders.d directory under the plugin folder, nor can I find the jail.local file.
I must be missing something here. Would love some help.
Thanks!
PS. I’m sure that once I’ve sorted those bits there will be more things I need to do, like, can I specify what login usernames to look for as there are a copy that this attack is using. I’ve looked for detailed instructions online but they all seem to go down to the server level, and now I’m wondering if this is the right plugin to be using in my situation. Thanks again!
