Installing plugin breaks site with PHP error

    Hello!

    Just tried to install the plugin on an existing site and received this error during activation:

    Fatal error: Can't use method return value in write context in /home/content/79/9493179/html/knc2015/wp-content/plugins/edd-ajax-filters/uFramework/libraries/cmb2-inherit-value/cmb2-inherit-value.php on line 46

    The plugin had to be removed via FTP. Tried both the free copy at tsunoa.com and the WordPress direct download to the same error on activation.

    That said, to eliminate any possibilities of theme conflict, I went ahead and tried it on a reasonably clean WP installation with only EDD as the other plugin. Same result.

    Hi @wsp-kk

    The error comes from an uncompatibility with the PHP version you have (probably 5.4)

    I will try to update It today to add compatibility with older PHP versions

    The site is on PHP 5.4.19. I’ll update it and see what happens.

    On PHP 5.6 now; works perfectly. Thank you once again.

    I just updated EDD Ajax Filters (and the rest of plugins) to add compatibility with PHP 5.4

    Anyway is recommendable have installed 5.6 instead
