I’ve been using WordPress for years for many different sites covering many different genres, and in all my time I’ve NEVER had a plugin install unauthorised plugins in the background. How the hell has www.remarpro.com allowed this plugin to do this and remain on the marketplace is beyond me. I’ll me contacing them immediatly to report this plugin.

    • Issue One, ever since installing It slugged my site to unbearable loading speeds.
    • Once I came here and seen the issue about it instaling other plugins, I checked and lone and behold it had installed x2 extra plugins without permission.
    • Quite clearly looking through the plugin data, they sell your data no matter what you agree too.

PLEASE, people, uninstall this plugin at once and look through your own sites to see what extra plugins have been installed. The dev replied to another comment on this saying it had to do with a pre-designed theme for the maintenance page. A) Why weren’t we asked about installing this extra plugin for using a pre-designed theme? B) This doesn’t answer why you would also install an image optimisation plugin without permission?

    Hi @thatfashion,

    Thank you for your review!

I wanted to address some points for clarity. Our templates in LightStart are designed specifically with Otter Blocks in mind. To make the most of these templates, the Otter plugin is required. However, if you prefer not to use our templates, you have the freedom to create a page from scratch using any builder you like. You can find the step-by-step guide for this option here: https://vertis.d.pr/i/A3ESrq.

Please understand that our aim is not to pressure users into unnecessary installations. We are dedicated to offering flexibility in how you use LightStart according to your preferences.

If you have any more questions or if there’s anything else we can assist you with, please feel free to let us know!
