• I recently updated to WP 3.4.1 using the Twenty-Ten theme on my site, blindflaneur.com. Then I installed JetPack.

When activated, JP does the following:

Eliminates the admin bar in the site’s public view when I am logged in
Eliminates several widgets from the bottom of the sidebar.
      Eliminates the footer completely.

When JetPack is deactivated, all of these issues are resolved.

Any ideas how to solve this and use JetPack?

  • Have you tried deactivating all other plugins to see if this resolves the problem. If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

Or try resetting the plugins folder by FTP or PhpMyAdmin, moving JetPack across to a new plugins folder & then activating it.

Yes, I deactivated/reactivated all plugins. That process isolated JetPack as the limiting factor.

I deactivated Jetpack and installed Google Analytics (using Google Analytics for WordPress 4.2.4 ), code inserted in the header. Many of the same problems result – the only difference is that part of the footer appears, part does not.
